On October 31st, Professor Zhihong Man, aninternationalexpert in robotics and control theory at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, was invited to give an online academic lecture for the graduate students and teachers of School of Automation in classroom H4511.

The theme of this lecture is "Some Issues of Vehicle Informatics".It is shown that the dynamics of yaw rate and slip angle of road vehicles can be decoupled in the s-domain, the relationship between the yaw rate and slip angle can then be revealed in both the s-domain and time-domain. The new findings in this work will play an important role of developing next generation of state estimation, parameter identification, soft-sensing and stability control of lateral dynamics of road vehicles.

Professor Zhihong Man's wonderful report, truth-seeking and pragmatic scientific attitude, rigorous and pragmatic academic style deeply affected the teachers and students present. The interactive atmosphere was relaxed and warm. This lecture broadened the international vision of our teachers and students, and laid a foundation for further strengthening in-depth cooperation in related fields in the future.
