CUIT Automation School Hosts International Scholars to Discuss Embodied AI and FPGA Technology

On April 28, 2025, the School of Automation hosted Professors Kai Hwang (University of Southern California) and VERLAN Serghei (Paris-Est University) for an academic exchange. Prof. Hwang presented on "Embodied Intelligent Robots as Key Technologies for Activating the Digital Economy and International Medical Cooperation," analyzing AI trends and applications in industrial automation and surgical assistance. Prof. VERLAN Serghei explored FPGA fundamentals in "From Zero to FPGA: An Introductory Journey into Digital Design," highlighting their parallel processing advantages and real-time applications like image processing. Chaired by Dean Prof. Zhang Gexiang, the event facilitated dynamic dialogue between students, faculty, and international scholars, enhancing interdisciplinary perspectives amid a lively academic atmosphere.
