Jiang Tao,Professor, PhD, doctoral supervisor, graduated from University of Siegen,Germany,Director of the International Joint Research Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Directorof Sichuan Unmanned System Intelligent Perception Control Engineering Laboratory, doctoral supervisor of university of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Outstanding Contribution Expert of Sichuan Province, overseas high-level talents, leaderof Sichuan province youth science and technology innovation research team– Special Intelligence Robot.
At the famous Institute of Real-time Learning Systems (EZLS) in Germany, Professor Jiang Tao has been engaged in the research of robot vision navigation, target recognition in rugged areas, ground-air robot cooperative work and artificial compound eye vision. He has presided over and participated in many robot-related projects cooperated by the German Applied Research Fund FhG, the German Science Fund DFG, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF and other national, provincial and enterprises projects.The field autonomous Robot developed by him won the only Award "Innovation Award" in the 2010 ELROB (European Land Robot Trials).In the past three years, he has presided over or researched more than 10 scientific research projects founded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Strategic Science and Technology Development Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Intelligent Manufacturing Program of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Merit-based Program of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Major Science and Technology Project of Sichuan Province, and the Open Fund of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Basic Research and Robotics of Sichuan Province.In addition, the first unmanned vehicle ROR (mobile robot platform) in Southwest China has been developed by his team. The success of the driverless car has been reported by more than 60 media, including Sichuan TV, West China Metropolis Daily and Chinanews.com, and was named "Top 10 science and Technology news in Sichuan in 2015". He has published more than 50 academic papers, one English monograph, more than 40 patent grants, and drafted 2 standards of the Judicial Administration Industry of the People's Republic of China. He has won 1 second prize, 1 third prize of scientific and technological progress of Sichuan Province , and 1 third prize of teaching achievement of Sichuan Province.
